IG seem 'very good', but I wish they'd embrace video a bit more, and provide videos that; overview their site navigation, demonstrate how to make and adjust bets, manage trailing stops etc.
Still not sure if I know half the stuff I'm able to do on the IG Site, or if I'm doing some things in the most efficient fashion. I need to improve though, as I'm at the stage of putting a lot more money into best spread betting trading platform betting.
What spread betting companies do you use most and why? If anyone's interested enough to respond to this thread, it would also be good if you could comment briefly on how 'user friendly' the SB Platforms are that you mention and what you think of the service level when you need to ring or email.
If you think it might be unwise or unfair to go as far as slating a particular company, how about only mention companies you 'like' and saying why rather than knocking any you think are rubbish. If respondents collectively don't mention a Company's, I'll get the message to ignore that one. What I'd like to do is to open at least one more Spread Betting Account maybe more later and to decide which one to go for.
It might depend on your style of trading, but I shared my best spread betting trading platform on this subject in an article at http: I'm on my way to checkout your link. In my experience, most platforms now only allow you the first option City Index used to allow it, but they no longer do.
With the second option your trade will only trigger if there was an actual trade in the underlying market at your order price. I find this makes it easier to check that you have been given a fair price on your trade.
On the negative side: For the avoidance of doubt I should point out that I best spread betting trading platform no affiliation of any kind with MF Global, but I have had an account with them for about three years now.
I hope this helps. Hi Steven Thanks very much for your excellent and comprehensive addition to this thread. I will definitely check out MF Global Spreads. Looking forward to reading everyone's else's input on this topic too. Like you I have an account with IG who I find very good. However I also have accounts with the following firms and for the following reasons: I'll definitely be checking out City Index and First Spreads free Level 2 sounds Interesting, what's the indirect 'cost' of this.
Anybody got any comments on Finespreads, Cantor, also Tradefair? Thanks again everyone for the best spread betting trading platform so far. Keep em coming please. Hey Matman, Finspreads, Cantor and Tradefair are all very different companies when it comes to spread betting. Finspreads recently rebranded itself as a beginner's platform; with limited risk accounts and small deposit requirements.
Cantor is for the more serious trader and best spread betting trading platform begun incorporating a social element best spread betting trading platform some of their trading alla eToro. And finally you mentioned Tradefair, a punter's platform for players switching over from Poker and Casino games.
I would certainly look at Finspreads and Cantor out of those three, but there are so many more companies to choose from. Both said they would get back in touch with me and neither did. IG, who I am with are driving me nuts. Just when I want to get in to the market I have found twice in the last two weeks that the platform had crashed and I couldn't get my trade on. Not much use when trading the odd scalp on 5minute charts. The first time the guy in customer services was reasonable and credited my account with the honest and realistic minimum amount that I would have gained.
The second time the guy on the dealing desk told me to go jump. Very annoying and I certainly would not recommend IG to my worst enemy. The ONLY thing they have going for them is the charting package in my view. The increased minimum bet sizes are costing me quite a lot and I will also be looking at the companies mentioned above.
If anyone has any other suggestions they best spread betting trading platform be most welcome. Yes think spreadex took them over back then my account was always with spreadex not mf global.
